Fire Hydrant Flow Test Ipswich

Fire hydrant flow tests are important to determine the gallons per minute (GPM) that a hydrant will flow. Here at Fire Testing you will find a team of dedicated professionals that will offer a superior fire hydrant flow test in Ipswich. It is not a secret that the GPM is a number that comes out as critical for fire suppression. The test is performed by attaching a hose to the hydrant and opening the valve. A stopwatch is used to time how long it takes to fill a bucket of known volume (usually 5 gallons). The GPM is then calculated by dividing the volume of the bucket by the time it took to fill it.

Fire Testing offers a variety of hydrant flow tests in Ipswich. The test is essential to ensure that the hydrant is functioning properly. This is important because if the hydrant is not functioning properly, the fire suppression system will not work properly. The hydrant flow test is used to determine if a hydrant is able to provide adequate water for fire suppression. There are several factors that can affect the flow of water from a hydrant. These factors include the size of the hydrant, the type of hydrant, the pressure of the water, and the location of the hydrant.

The fire hydrant flow test is used to determine the amount of water that a hydrant can provide for fire suppression. The test is also used to determine if a hydrant is able to provide adequate water for fire suppression. There are several reasons to perform flow tests on fire hydrants. Firstly, it helps to ensure that the hydrant will be able to provide the necessary flow of water for fire suppression. Secondly, it allows for the identification of any potential problems with the hydrant, such as a blockage or reduced flow. Our fire hydrant flow tests in Ipswich can help to identify which hydrants are the most reliable in terms of flow rate.

GRK has worked closely with AFST to test and commission the fire hydrant, pumps, hose reels and fire mains since 2008. Their field crews are always super helpful in ensuring our completed works are compliant allowing certification. After the onsite test and inspection, AFST always send our engraved block plans through in record time allowing us to complete and close out projects. We also utilise the AFST maintenance services to complete our DLP periods on the fire systems including the monthly fire pump testing. Bruce and the AFST team are and have always been available to answer our queries and assist with all types fire systems. I value the services of AFST and class them as members of the GRK team.
